Welcome to Palazzo dei Ciompi
The restructuring took place under the direct control of the Superintendence of Architectural Heritage of Florence and lasted 5 years, due to the numerous frescoes inside. The building that houses the suites has four floors and features characters that refer to sixteenth-century architectural models.
The façade is very large and overlooks the Loggia del Pesce designed by Vasari, now located right in Piazza dei Ciompi. On the back of the building there is a private square with an iron gate on which stands the ancient Academy Logo depicting a horse accompanied by the motto: “Valiant horse passes and does not cure”.
